"My passion is literary arts. I have been teaching literature and have publications as a literary critic for over 20 years. I am hurt by the paucity of Christian creative material vis a vis occult material in the entertainment industry.
"My hope is to help build a community that sees the urgency of creating material that reflects the gospel truth and counter the Harry Potters and other material in same vein.
"My son is 7 going on 8 and we have to constantly fight to keep him from watching toxic material.
I do not quite have the confidence nor am I clear on how I will do this but I would like to step out in faith. I am grateful for this opportunity." - Eagle Josephine

Calvary greetings.
The email above came in yesterday.
Along with hundreds, she is interested in joining the Mentorgram platform.
To make a difference.
The problem she has highlighted is huge.
Instead of sitting on the sidelines, hoping someone else will do something...
She is willing to throw her hat in the ring
She has identified something that would make a difference.
I don't know of any Christian parent who would not be interested in what she has to offer...
... provided it is well designed, produced and marketed.
She has the basic skill set needed to make a start.
Here's what I say to her.
In fact she has the most important qualification to make this a success.
It is called: having skin in the game.
Read her email and you see the passion and HOLY ANGER that she's about to unleash on this problem.
She is powerfully motivated to provide healthy, godly alternatives for her son (and other Christian kids everywhere).
Actually it is a precious ministry ... one that is urgently needed today.
Now is the time to prayerfully think long and hard on the service/product she's planning to deliver.
So far, many Eagles have expressed interest in the following roles:
Business Coach
Development Projects Coach
Knitting Coach
Leadership Coach
Youth Mentor
Financial Coach
Now think:
There has to be something that sets you apart from the myriads of people offering the similar types of products and services online.
As you might know, the currency of the online world is: Attention
For clues on how to introduce your service/offer in order to draw interest and attention I suggest you take a look at my test page here:
Here's food for thought...
Let's take an example you can relate with.
First, reflect on how you became interested in our prayer teachings.
How did you come to pay attention to what we have to offer?
How could you have trusted a person named elisha, someone you'd probably never heard of?
Someone whose photograph you've never seen anywhere?
How did you become convinced I was a real person...
... and not some scammer hiding behind the Internet to defraud unsuspecting people?
I have just used two KEY words:
Trust. Attention.
As you go through this thought process it will become clearer what is needed to get your service and product to those who need them.would
While you ignore the rest.
There are 2.5 billion Christians in the world today.
That's 31 percent of the entire world population.
Do you think even 1 percent of Christians are having the same problem that Eagle Josephine is talking about here?
Assuming she has a great product that can help solve this problem for this 1 percent ...
How will she identify, target and deliver her product in the fastest and most effective way possible?
Social media.
Half the world population is now on some kind of social media or the other.
Your attitude should be:
If I want to catch a large amount of fish I should go to where there is a large body of water.
An ocean. Or a river at least.
There's all kind of fishes in the social media ocean.
Armed with that insight, you'll be ready to:
1. Start practicing how to write a 1-page summary of what you're offering (explaining succinctly why anyone should even be interested)
Note: This summary should be written from the point of view of the visitor (who does not know you at all) & is naturally suspicious of claims being made all over the place.
Your summary must address the following questions:
Why should the visitor be interested in what you have to offer (i.e. giving you her attention)?
Does she have an URGENT problem that you can help solve?
Is the pain of having the problem (and the desire to get rid of it) strong enough to motivate her to seek a solution?
Not just any solution but your specific solution?
How will your mentorship / coaching help her to along on the path to solving this problem or at least get her to see the light at the end of the tunnel?
Have you authored a book that will at least show that you are an authority on the subject?
Proof, proof, proof...
2. Can you post free samples of your prior work/book excerpts to demonstrate your expertise?
You notice how we share a lot of testimonies?
Years ago when we started, the LORD directed me to run 21-day prayer marathon and advertise it online.
As soon as the program kicked off, the testimonies began to flow.
Then He instructed me to always share those testimonies as proof that what I teach works in the real world.
You too should be prepared to demonstrate in some way that what you have to offer is not just theory.
3. Invite the visitor to post comments in the Comment section of your page (you should check in from time to time to reply to the comments)
The greatest problem online...
Noise. Noise. Noise.
Everyone is hollering for attention.
I read that the average human attention span has fallen from 12 seconds in 2000 to eight seconds today.
That's less than that of a goldfish, which has a 9-second attention span.
What that means is this:
You might have the greatest product in the world but if you cannot present it in a way that commands attention the visitor will click off within seconds.
On Mentorgram, our tech will be able to send targeted visitors/prospects to your page (we are currently working on that feature).
However ...
It will be up to you to make your page engaging enough for visitors to want to invest their time/attention in reading or watching your video or listening to your podcast or ordering your product.
You probably know the saying: you can lead a horse to the water but you can't force it to drink.
Just a few tips to prepare...
If you would like to set up a Mentor's profile, there are 2 requirements:
1. You must have both spiritual maturity and demonstrable expertise in your area of interest.
2. Take the time to write a 1-page summary and send it to [email protected] with subject line: My 1-page summary
Virtual mentoring/coaching is the industry of the future (watch the videos Willie posted).
Please spend some time to study how he is starting to set up his page.
There is an option to add his paid programs but he is fully booked for the next 9 months and will not be taking any additional clients.
These days he has to turn away potential clients.
Why?
There is something called: Positioning
It is what goes through the mind of your prospect as soon as your product or service is mentioned.
Willie goes by the bold tagline: Prophetic Life Coach.
No one else has this positioning in his industry (he is a psychologist by training).
His practice is differentiated from the competition because he deploys NFR in his life coaching practice.
He delivers results that encompass the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of his clients.
And he earns referrals through word of mouth.
No need to advertise or chase down clients.
His page is still under construction here >>
I hope these few tips will help you pray and think through your offering, and more importantly, your positioning.
