Invoking the Invisible Hand behind the US presidential elections
It's go time.
The next US presidential election is right around the corner.
Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
(It comes up once every four years).
Each time we roll out prayer bullets to those who are interested in joining the global army of intercessors.
And why are we doing this?
By the way, we have a divine mandate to do this.
And we have been doing this every election cycle since 2008.
Someone asked me the other time why we take the US elections so seriously … while we give other countries little or no attention.
First, let me quickly say that the other nations are important as well (and you should make every effort to at least intercede for your nation as much as possible).
However, when it comes to what happens (or is allowed to happen) in our world, the United States stands heads and shoulders above the rest.
For instance –
Many Christians do not realize that much of world evangelism is financed by churches and institutions based in the USA.
Yes, they lead, finance and give both materially and spiritually for the advancement of Christianity worldwide.
They provide the financial backbone to the underground churches, whether in China, the Muslim world and elsewhere.
And the devil hates them for this.
In their fight against the Gospel, Satan and his cohorts have set their sights on destroying and totally erasing the Christian foundation of the nation.
Today they have almost succeeded in turning the US political and business leadership into the leading advocate of the worst kinds of perversions imaginable.
This is especially dangerous (even if you don’t live in the America) because …
Truth is:
As the USA goes, so goes the rest of the world
In Firesprings Ministries, we remain completely apolitical.
That’s the reason why political conversations are not allowed on our platform.
But we will always step up to defend our Christian values and take the position of the Word of God in the public square.
Every single time.
We have an obligation to always pray for godly leaders who will support and defend our Christian way of life.
Having said that, please note that it is not mandatory to join us.

With that out of the way, let's begin
We take off on a rather aggressive note today.
Please find a quiet place where you can sit or stand without being disturbed. For the next 2 minutes, close your eyes, point one finger to the heavens and shout out this prayer with thunder in your voice:
“Any power manipulating the ordinances of heaven against my life, be arrested in the name of Jesus.”
Congratulations if you fired that prayer bullet well.
Ready... set... go…
We Christians all know that it is a direct command from the LORD that we should be praying for our leaders.
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;" - 1 Tim 2:1-3
Whether you are an American or not, the outcome of the next presidential election will affect your life and family in more ways than you know.
So please brace yourself...
What you are about to read may surprise some people, especially junior students in the school of spiritual warfare.
But these are secrets which our Christian heroes in earlier times understood and deployed to great effect in their generations.
For instance, the great reformer and prayer warrior John Knox prayed:
“O Lord, give me Scotland or I die!”
Powerful prayer.
Little wonder that Mary Queen of Scots once declared that she was more afraid of the prayers of John Knox than of an army of ten thousand.
Back to the present…
As it was in 2016, the next presidential elections will turn on a prayer.
“How is that possible?” you ask.
Then stay with me for the next few minutes …
... and you will hopefully have some insights into the kind of prayer that the LORD is waiting to hear (and answer) concerning this upcoming election.
3 secrets for a prayer eagle who wants to pray the will of God for the elections
The key to praying effectively concerning the elections is "hidden" in the book of Joshua chapter 5 verse 14.
For context we will begin our reading from verse 13:
And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho , that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, "Are You for us or for our adversaries?" So He said, "No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come -- Josh 5:13-14
Secret #1: The 5-14 Rule
You may call this... the Silver Bullet Rule.
If it wasn’t such a serious matter, I would be amused by how partisan many Christian leaders and their followers have become.
For such wonderful brothers and sisters, it will probably come as a shock to discover that the God of the Bible is neither a Republican nor a Democrat.
In fact, God is not on the side of the Republicans.
Neither is He on the side of the Democrats.
Let me repeat that:
God is not on the side of the Democrats.
Neither is He on the side of the Republicans.
How can anyone say such an outrageous thing?
Look carefully at the Scripture we just read.
Perhaps Joshua had convinced himself that the whole of Heaven was on their side.
I would have thought so too, especially seeing that Israel was, and still is, God’s chosen people.
That probably explains why Joshua could confidently pose the question:
Are you for us or for our enemies?
What a shock it must have been to hear the response of Heaven:
"No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come."
Let’s pause for a second here.
I want to be absolutely, positively sure that you understand the import of this answer…
The Lord said He was not on the side of Israel.
Nor was He on the side of the enemies of Israel.
Rather...
HE was there to enforce Heaven’s mandate.
God's supreme agenda alone mattered!
God was on His own side ... it was now left for the people to make their choice.
The Lord had an important stake in the matter though.
Just as He has a HUGE stake in the outcome of the November 3rd elections.
This One Question Holds The Key...
“Am I on the Lord’s side?”
Is anyone on the Lord’s side?
Are we on the Lord’s side?
Before you rush off to answer this question, consider this:
If Saul of Tarsus (before his conversion to Paul) were to be a candidate running in this election, would you as a Christian have voted for him?
Would you have supported this person who was busy persecuting and even helping to destroy believers anywhere he could find them?
Think very carefully.
If you answered "YES" then you must be more spiritual than Ananias …
... that great friend of God who could carry on a conversation with the Lord much the same way as you would talk to your friend.
In other words, he knew God as much as it was possible for any man to know Him.
And that's not an exaggeration - see Acts 9:10.
(Please look around you or check your Bible; only very few people ever get to this level of intimacy with the Lord in their entire Christian walk – and that includes almost everyone who claims to hear from the Lord today).
You see, when the Lord told Ananias to go and pray for Saul of Tarsus in Damascus, he almost did not want to go.
Why?
Because of Saul’s antecedents as an avowed enemy of the church.
Thankfully he changed his mind … but not before the Lord had revealed exclusive, heavenly information that helped to reassure him.
Let’s move on…
If you answered "No", then you must be like the majority of believers I’ve heard from who have dug in their heels along partisan lines and may not change their minds even if they had an Ananias experience.
Here’s what it comes down to:
All your prayer concerning the elections will amount to a monumental waste of time and effort … unless it lines up with the mandate of Heaven.
It is only God’s agenda that He will support.
Not the fleshly posturings and manipulations of partisan human beings, no matter how well-reasoned their arguments might be.
I should quickly point out that the LORD can pick the most unlikely candidate, clean him up and use him for his own glory.
For example...
Bible readers will recall that He once referred to the heathen king Nebuchadnezzar as “His servant”, meaning He (The LORD) was able to use him for His own purposes at that point in history.
Let's see how that happened:
"I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
And now have I given all these lands unto the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon , my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.
And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, says the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand." - Jer 27:5-8
This is the Almighty God speaking here.
And it wasn't the only time.
4 Years ago at this time I wrote ...
There was also case of Cyrus, another heathen king.
I want you to note carefully that we are talking about electing the 45th President of the USA, the earthly capital or headquarters of Christianity in our times.
And where in the Bible do we find the prophecy concerning Cyrus?
Isaiah chapter 45.
Here's what it says --
"Thus says the LORD to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held --To subdue nations before him And loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors,
So that the gates will not be shut:' I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the LORD,
Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel. For Jacob My servant's sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other;
There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me, That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other; - Isa 45:1-6 (emphasis added)

Today ...
You don't need to be a prophet to discern that the LORD is interested in the outcome of this particular election... more so than at any other time.
And you shouldn't be surprised that the LORD can choose someone that you may or may not approve of to lead the most powerful nation on earth ...
... at this crucial time when religious liberties and our shared Christian values are under intense bombardment by the forces of hell.
Proverbs 21 verse 1 says:
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes. - Prov 21:1
The Sovereign God can change any man or woman and use him or her anytime He so desires, particularly in response to the prayers of His people.
You need look no further than the case of Saul, terrorist to the early Christian Church, who was transformed to Paul, the greatest apostle who ever lived.
Such is the power and wisdom of the LORD our God.
Please let's not ever make the mistake of taking it upon ourselves to decide for Him who should win or lose (like so many seem to be doing).
Here's a sneak peek into the spirit realm ...
At this crucial hour, the LORD is looking for believers to rise up and pray for someone who will take a stand for righteousness, justice and truth.
Someone who will defend the right to life, including the right of the unborn child.
He is looking for people who will arise and pray that His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
He is looking for those who will arise and call upon Him to have mercy on the United States, no matter how far the nation may have strayed away from Him.
He is looking for a detachment of courageous, selfless prayer warrior eagles who will arise and release prayer missiles to disgrace the highly orchestrated global conspiracy against the outcome of the elections.
Yes, He is searching for prayerful Christians in all the nations.
Let me be clear:
Wherever you live on this planet, your life will be impacted, perhaps more profoundly than you can ever imagine, by the outcome of this election.
So do not wave this off as something that does not concern you.
If you are one of those precious few who will make themselves available, then this prophetic verse should gladden your heart:
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. - Ezek 22:30-31
Now we have settled this crucial matter, it is time to move on to the next secret.
Secret #2: Your "Hour of Power"
The midnight hour is your hour of power.
It is a time of furious spiritual warfare when dramatic prayers provoke dramatic responses from the throne of heaven.
Now if you are a typical believer interested in what happens in our world today, I can almost say, without fear of contradiction, that you are NOT praying aright concerning this crucial matter.
The simple reason for saying this is because most of us in this generation have only been taught to pray in the traditional Sunday school way.
Something that goes like this:
“O Lord, I thank you for this election. I know that you are in perfect control, let your will be done in Jesus’ name … Oh, by the way, I also pray for sister so-and-so that you will help her overcome her problems in marriage and … blah blah blah.”
Friend, this kind of undisciplined praying will not cut it…
To put it bluntly:
It is almost spiritual malpractice for any believer to pray like that concerning something so crucially important.
You have to be disciplined enough to stay on the prayer exclusively for at least 15 minutes without allowing your mind to wander off in many different directions.
You have to be focused and alert in the spirit while you are praying so you can perceive the gentle promptings of the Holy Spirit … and change direction as He leads.
Here's a little experience I had years ago...
Before we set up this online prayer site years ago, during one presidential election...
... the Holy Spirit woke me up at the midnight hour and gave me very specific prayers to pray.
I was terribly tired, having worked all day and late into the evening.
So I began to pray in a very lukewarm manner, just to "fulfill all righteousness."
Then all of a sudden, the LORD opened my eyes in the spirit and I began to “see” what was happening in the streets of Ohio hundreds of miles away from where I was (it turned out that state was the key battleground that ultimately decided the outcome of that year's election).
At that level, I needed no one to tell me to intensify my prayers.
I jumped to my feet. All sleep fled away.
I did not … could not … stop until I sensed the military angels of the LORD descend and spread out over the entire state.
That's when I knew the mission was accomplished.
I could then round up the prayer and go to sleep.
So I wasn't really surprised when I heard the news later that day.
Praise the LORD.
When I advise you to program your prayers into the midnight hour, please understand that this not idle theory or theology.
Prayer eagles the world over know the importance of the Midnight Prayer.
Victory or defeat happens at the midnight hour.
This spiritual principle is detailed in the ebook, “Prayer Cookbook for Busy People.”
Praying at the midnight hour is just one part of the spiritual equation ...
The other essential part is knowing what to pray.
As you are reading this, the root workers of darkness have been firing arrows relentlessly into the heavenlies at the midnight hour … just to manipulate this election.
In fact they have cast a spiritual blanket over the nations, while diverting attention to fake media stories that they generated to hide the crucial issues of this election.
At this time, most believers are in deep spiritual slumber, only waking up to advance carnal arguments about who should win or lose... blissfully unaware of what's going on in the realm of the spirit.
But there is good news.
Praying Christians can turn the tide if only we all get serious on the midnight hour leading up to November 3 (you will see how to join the midnight prayer army in a moment).
I should also mention...
Joining this midnight prayer will leave an indelible mark upon your life too (I’ll explain that shortly).
Meanwhile spread the word.
Invite and challenge your Christian friends to be part of this.
It is ALWAYS rewarding to be part of something bigger than you.
If you have ever joined our annual "Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem" you will understand what I've just said.
Especially now that peace is breaking out across the Middle East.
Now A Gentle Note of Warning...
If you have read this far and still feel this does not concern you at all, then please listen to this.
The LORD can become very unhappy with believers who refuse to join the armies of heaven to fight spiritual battles.
Look at one scary instance here... when some people refused to join Israel to fight her enemies.
Divine judgment was swift.
'Curse Meroz,' said the angel of the LORD,
'Curse its inhabitants bitterly,
Because they did not come to the help of the LORD,
To the help of the LORD against the mighty.' -- Judges 5:23
If you have read to this point, know that you are already enlisted.
There’s no turning back.
The LORD expects you to be part of this important 3-night prayer riot.
He expects you to spread the word … to share and broadcast it to as many people as you possibly can (social media anyone?)
It is not your job to persuade anyone.
The Holy Spirit will do that part.
I must also tell you…
There are special rewards and blessings for those who obey Him and join forces to fight the Lord’s battles:
Blessings of dominion, restoration and promotion for you ... and this leads us to the third and final secret.
Secret #3: Are You Toiling All Alone On Your Own?
Allow me to show you the hidden doorway into restoration and divine promotion.
Diving right back into Scripture:
So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,2 and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets.3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."
5 But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net."6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying,"depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!"
9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken;10 and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men." - Luke 5:1-11
Have you been toiling all alone on your own?
Without any help in this world?
Getting discouraged?
About your life? Marriage? Children? etc.
Please take heart.
As you are reading this, the Lord Jesus is already on your case.
You see, the moment you allow the LORD to use the vehicle of your life to fulfill His divine purpose and advance His kingdom, He will reward you in many areas of your life.
Please note that I am not speaking only in material terms.
I mean:
- A closer walk with the Lord
- Abundance of peace and joy … in your heart, in your home, in your marriage, etc.
- Unerring spiritual guidance concerning the issues of life
- Supernatural provisions
- Divine health and strength
- etc.
When Peter willingly gave his boat to Jesus, the Lord rewarded him with both spiritual and material blessings.
Especially spiritual blessings.
Right on the spot, he received spiritual promotion from fisherman to great Apostle.
Without this singular event you and I would not even be hearing of Peter today.
I am humbly asking you to give up your sleep at the midnight hour of November 2, 3, 4 (your local time) …
... so that you can join me and thousands of prayer eagles all over the world to stand in the gap and pray concerning the U.S. presidential elections of November 3.
Look, this is NOT money I'm asking you to give here.
It is just a few hours of your time.
Remember this one?
Let me ask you a simple question:
Will you lay your problems aside for just 3 nights and join us in this special Prayer Riot?
(NOTE: If you are in any prayer program right now, all you have to do is stop the prayer for just 3 nights. You will continue where you stopped after this.
Consider this:
In the early 1990s, a man of God asked us to take out 10 days to pray concerning an urgent issue facing our church at the time.
He made it clear we were to leave all our problems behind and focus on the prayers hundred percent.
He declared that all those who faithfully participated in the program to the end would see the hand of God in a most dramatic way.
Then he became more specific and said:
“If you do not have a job right now but you want to work, the LORD will bless you with a job that is more than enough; you don’t even have to pray about it.”
It was the second part of his statement that caught my attention.
True to the word spoken by the man of God, everyone in that group got one job or the other before the end of that year.
I should know.
I was one of those blessed in a most profound way.
Together with all my prayer partners at the time.
The LORD places great emphasis on intercessory prayers. And HE blesses those who take it seriously.
Here’s what the Bible teaches us:
“Yet you have not called upon Me…you have not wearied yourselves for Me...” Isaiah 43:22
“Then Jesus told His disciples...that men ought always to pray and not to faint.” Luke 18:1
“You will seek Me and you will find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jer. 29:13
“The shepherds are senseless and do not inquire of the Lord; so they do not prosper and all their flock is scattered.” Jeremiah 10:21
“Pray without ceasing” 1 Thessalonians 5:17
“Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always.” 1 Chronicles 16:11
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
“…all their kings fall, and none of them calls on Me.” Hosea 7:7
“Will the evildoers never learn…who do not call on God?” Psalm 53:4
Your prayer will be sweet music in His ears if ...
You have surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus …
... and you are also walking the walk of faith, carrying your cross daily and following Him.
Now God’s definition of who’s following Him may differ a little from yours and mine.
It does not include those who merely go to church.
See what He says here:
“If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, I will forgive their sin and I will heal their land.” - 2 Chronicles 7:14
Most of the stubborn problems may have persisted till now because of lack of repentance.
And lack of prayer.
Prayerlessness is a grievous sin before the Lord.
The simple truth is that you may be cheating yourself if you do not learn to pray effectively.
Or are too busy to pray.
As one man of God so beautifully puts it:
“If you’re too busy to pray then you’re busier than God wants you to be. There’s nothing beyond the reach of prayer except that which is outside the will of God.”
The Lord Jesus Himself has promised that:
“If you abide in Me and My Words abide in you then you will ask whatever you want of Me and it shall be given to you.” John 15:7

Confession: Exodus 10:21-23
And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
1. O LORD, forgive the sins of your people and let the precious blood of Jesus avail for your people in the USA in Jesus name.
2. O LORD, turn the heart of your people in the US back to You in this time and season in Jesus name.
3. Father forgive the transgressions of your people and deal with them according to your great mercy and compassion in Jesus name.
4. O LORD, let the American Church become once again the salt and light of the earth in Jesus name.
5. Let all the satanically-inspired voices raised against the righteous in the land be silenced by the thunder fire of God in Jesus name.
6. O God arise and anoint your chosen ones into positions of leadership in the name of Jesus.
7. Every global gang-up and evil unity against this election be scattered unto desolation in the name of Jesus.
8. Let the Lion of Judah arise and roar against all the enemies of this nation, both domestic and foreign, in the name of Jesus.
9. O God arise and visit the nation with your fire of deliverance in Jesus name.
10. Every wicked campaign and propaganda against the Lord's candidates in the media, receive failure and defeat in the name of Jesus.
11. Powers manipulating the spirit realm against the divine outcome of this election, fall down and die in the name of Jesus.
12. Whatever the enemy meant for evil, O LORD turn it to good for your people during this election in Jesus name.
13. Holy Spirit, carry all your candidates running in this election across the finish line by fire in the name of Jesus.
14. Every weapon of the wicked targeted against the Lord's anointed, begin to malfunction now in the name of Jesus.
15. Every demonic brain trust assembled to alter the destiny of the United States, be scattered unto desolation by fire in Jesus name.
16. O LORD anoint your candidates with divine wisdom, courage and favor to win their races supernaturally in Jesus name.
17. O LORD surround your anointed ones with the electric fence of divine protection and your wall of fire in Jesus name.
18. Let the entire nation begin to experience revival fire of the Living God starting today in the name of Jesus.
19. O LORD let your will be done concerning this election and its outcome in Jesus name.
20. O LORD dispatch your angels of fire and war to arrest the evil plans and agenda of the enemy before, during and after the elections in the name of Jesus (please pray this one 21 hot times).
21. LORD we thank you for answering the prayers of your people everywhere concerning this election and the aftermath in Jesus name.

DAY TWO - NOV 3, 2020
Confession: Psalm 24:7-10
"Lift up your head, O ye gates and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory."
- O Lord, have mercy on the USA and remember your covenant with the Founding Fathers in Jesus name.
- O Lord, forgive the sins of the nation and let your blood wash these sins away in Jesus name.
- Holy Spirit, touch the hearts and minds of your people and help them to turn away from idolatry and to the faith of the Founding Fathers in Jesus name.
- We come against every spirit of the anti-Christ working against this nation and we command them to be permanently frustrated in the name of Jesus.
- LORD by all the power for which you are known to be God, arise and intervene in this election for the sake of Your great name in Jesus name.
