She used an unusual word.

Please pay attention to that word: momentum.

Look at the meaning here:

Momentum is the force that keeps you moving forward, even when faced with obstacles.

It's the energy that propels you towards your goals and helps you overcome inertia.

In life, momentum is about consistently taking action and building upon your successes to create lasting positive change.

There is something called prayer momentum – the one thing that can keep you pushing forward, against all odds, until victory is won.

A few years ago, I received a fascinating email from Singapore.

What caught my attention was this line:

“I have even prayed that He [God] take my life, that the next morning I will not wake up anymore. For me, waking up in the morning is like a curse.”

Here’s the full email.

Her death wish was turned into a testimony

Hi Elisha,

I would like to share with you how you helped me some three years ago....and without your knowing.

I think you don’t remember me, my name is Magnolia, from the Philippines...3 years ago I visited your site, and I know it was not an accident; it is His will.

Three years ago, I was buried in debt to loan sharks and credit cards, I was living in loans, my life that time was nothing to me. I have even prayed that He take my life, that the next morning I will not wake up anymore. For me, waking up in the morning is like a curse.

Though we are also hit by the global downturn, but now I wake up seeing God’s blessings...and you know, now I learned to trust God that in all the storms of life He is always helping me. Now I am lifting to him using the prayers you taught me that he will guide us in our plan.

How did this happen? 

Why would a believer pray for God to take his / her life?

I’ve identified 3 recurring cases.

Case #1

You love God. You pray. You fast.

But if you’re honest… your prayer life keeps losing momentum.

You start strong, then something happens -
