Dear Friend in Christ,

Welcome to part 3 prep before the 5-Day Testimony Prayer Training.

We have a question before us today:

Why do some people receive answers to their prayers while others don’t?

It’s an eternal truth: God still answers prayers!

But some people pray, and nothing happens.

While others pray and receive answers.

What's the reason for this?

Before I show you the reasons, let us first look at the per-requisites for answers to prayers (according to the Bible).

The ONE key that
unlocks answers to prayer

 That key is:

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. – Matt 6:33

Without it nothing else will work.

For these prayers to BRING ANY ANSWERS, you must surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ.

 Translation…

#1: You must be genuinely born again

If you are not, you may be putting yourself in grave danger praying this kind of prayers we teach (which never fails to bring answers). If you are not willing to surrender all to the Lord Jesus, I suggest you stop reading now.

#2: Living a holy life is non-negotiable

You could get into serious trouble if you pray this type of prayers while continuing to live in sin. As soon as you read this, the Holy Spirit will bring conviction to your heart if you are living in any known sin. My advice is that you drop this material immediately, go on your knees and repent. Then you will be ready to receive answers to all your prayers.

Sex Maniac No More!

“I was baptized and confirmed in one of the Orthodox Churches several years ago but still lived a sinful life.

A persistent alcoholic, a sex maniac and still participating in idol worship and other sinful practices habits.

After going through the instructions here, I went into confession of all my sins as well as my ancestors. I started the Pre-Marathon Prayers. I am now in day 13 of the 2nd Week of Pre-Marathon Prayers.

I have joined a new Bible believing Church where we spend a lot of time praying individually. The good news is I visited some friends and they gave me alcohol of low percentage.

When I tasted it, I started having severe headache and I stopped. I knew the Holy Spirit had convicted me.

The woman I had a daughter with and rejected has also been accepted back because I performed our traditional customary rights of marriage.

No more alcohol, no more womanizing and no more mingling with wrong friends. Our God is a great and loving God. Alleluia Jesus has cleansed me with His blood. Praised be to God.”

#3: Be filled with the Spirit daily

You must decide NOT to remain a fleshly, carnal believer. Learn to crucify your flesh. Walk in the spirit. A few tell-tale signs of carnal believers are that they get angry very easily, cannot control their appetite for food or sex, always compare themselves to others, tell small white lies, gossip and complain about everyone, etc.

Example from someone who will remain anonymous:

"How I Started to Walk in the Spirit"

 “In 2005 I was 25 years old and was not born again so I was in a relationship with a man and I fell pregnant and I felt I didn’t want to keep this pregnancy because I was not ready for a child.

So I resorted to committing abortion. I told no one about the pregnancy and abortion even the father of the baby knew nothing until we broke up it was my secret. As the years went by I got born again and by God’s special grace I got to know of Elisha Goodman and Firesprings Ministries.

Believe me saints I always wondered why my life was an uphill battle I mean sickness and diseases that defy science. I’m xxxxx officer in my country but there was nothing to write home about.

I lost my car mysteriously and I was reduced to a poor woman, despite prayers and fastings in this forum and confession. This went on for (11) eleven full years until last year 2020 days before the Golden Journey Express program.

The Holy Spirit whispered to me to call the man and confess to him all that I have done regarding abortion. I was afraid at first but I finally called him and told him everything and the man forgave me.

Eagles of God, the Holy Spirit is so excellent and he knows more than we could ever imagine.

Immediately after that I got healed and shortlisted for big positions at work. Now I’m an Assistant Director and financially I’m ok.

 ‘He who covers his sin will not prosper but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy’

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for giving me another chance in life.”

#4: Get addicted … to the Word of God

Read your Bible as much as possible.

Meditate on Scripture and let your actions and decisions be directed by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

These are the conditions for prayers to be answered.

Dear reader, can you see how blunt I am?

This is essential.

I am not one of those who teach that because of the love of God, all the blessings will fall on everyone ... no matter their lifestyle.

Because that is not true.

Now we have that out of the way...

Let's see why some pray and receive answers while others pray and nothing happens.

How We Pray To
Receive Answers

 Will you agree that this person prayed and received the answers she desired?

"I would like to testify of this God who is mightily using elisha. Last year I was in serious debts and after taking the 101 debt-free prayer points, I was surprised that after owing debts amounting to 4 times my salary, that all had been paid up. There is something common to these 2 people.

They used what we have nicknamed "prayer bullets."

By the way, we popularized this term all over the Internet.

Using prayer bullets is not only the simplest way to touch Heaven today...

It’s also the quickest way in existence to receive answers to prayers – and experience rapid spiritual and physical breakthroughs.

Prayer unlocks the realm of the spirit for divine blessings to flow into the lives of believers daily.

Prayer bullets have worked for thousands of believers.

However, for thousands that receive answers to their prayers, there are multiple thousands who don't.

So they give up.

Three Reasons People Give Up on Prayers

Reason #1:
They run out of things to say

Many believers are too embarrassed to admit it.

After a few minutes of prayers they run out of things to say. They go silent.

Often, they wonder how someone can pray for one hour, two hours and beyond.

What is responsible for this?

Lack of training.

Plus lack of prayer support.

In most churches many people join the choir and attend choir practice - to be trained to sing well.

Many fellowships conduct weekly Bible studies - to teach people the scriptures.

These are all good.

But ...

Have you ever seen a church with prayer studies/practice ... anywhere in the world?

In my entire life I've only seen one or two (and I've visited many continents of the world).

How then are believers supposed to learn how to pray and receive answers from the throne of God?

The disciples of Christ had this same problem at one time.

So they asked to be taught.

To pray.

As a believer, you too need to be taught to pray - Luke 11 verse 1.

Once you learn to pray, this problem will become a thing of the past.

You will find yourself praying for hours (and enjoying it) especially when you see the answers to your prayers …

... coming directly from the throne of God Himself.

Reason #2:
“I Pray, Pray, Pray – No Answer”

If you have been praying without being taught how, you will most certainly face this problem.

You could be praying amiss.

Your prayers are not targeted at all.

It is like firing a gun without aiming at anything. You are just hoping it hits something.

But there is something better. And super-effective when you desire to receive answers to your prayers (more about this in a moment).

 Reason #3:
“I Get Discouraged Easily”

I don’t blame anyone for getting discouraged.

I would be too, especially since no one seems able to explain why some pray and receive answers while YOU pray and…

NOTHING.

Discouragement is one of the biggest weapons that the enemy uses to turn believers away from prayer.

And if you do not have a support group to encourage you, or stand in the gap for you...

... you’re most likely going to give up prematurely.

 Did God Ever Stop Answering Prayers?

 These days you hear in many Christian circles how God no longer perform miracles.

They want you to believe that miracles ended with the Apostles.

But that view is not supported in scripture.

Because God has not stopped healing (as you will see if you stick long enough with us).

Just as He has not stopped the work of salvation.

And deliverance. And many other wonderful things.

He definitely has not stopped answering prayers.

What has happened is that the modern believer has not bothered to learn to pray.

The simplest way to explain this is by going back to what I mentioned before - Prayer Bullets.

Let Me Explain What a "Prayer Bullet" Is

 Quite simply, it is a verse of scripture, usually taken right out of the Bible...

... and converted into short, sharp, furious-sounding prayers that you can pray over and over again.

In the realm of the spirit, it sounds like a bullet released from a shotgun.

Let's demonstrate.

In Psalm 118 verse 17 we read this warfare scripture:

"I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord."

 When you turn it into a prayer bullet it can go in several directions, like this:

• I reject every arrow of death in the name of Jesus.
• I shall live to fulfill my divine destiny in the name of Jesus.
• Every agent of untimely death, my life is not your candidate, therefore carry your evil load and die in the name of Jesus.
• Thou power of the grave, lose your hold in the mighty name of Jesus.

And so on...

Now, notice carefully that this is not "vain repetition" which the Bible warns against.

Why?

Because you are creating the prayer bullet directly from the Word of God... which stands sure forever.

A prayer bullet created in this manner packs real power.

• It carries raw, spiritual fire.
• It can rebuild your marriage and relationships.
• It can build you a church, or a skyscraper.
•  It can flood your life with divine favor.
• Or get your body (or loved ones) healed.
• It can destroy addiction to any substance or drugs.
• It can put the honey back in your marriage.
• It can even help you find a godly spouse.
• It can turn you into a terror to your enemies in the dream.
• It can help you to live in dominion over witchcraft and other beggarly powers around.

I hope you are beginning to get an idea why some pray and receive answers while others pray and nothing happens.

One more thing --

About those who pray to receive answers.

This One Is Really a Big Secret
– Known Only By A Few

 Have you ever heard the verse: pray without ceasing?

It is from 1 Timothy 5:17

Those who really get it at a cellular level know what it means.

It means "Keep everlastingly at it."

And it is very instructive.

Most people are taught to only pray about something once or twice ... and then have faith that it is done.

Nothing can be further from the truth!

How often should you pray, and how long should you keep at it before giving up?

Answer: until the answer comes.

The LORD God can decide to answer your prayers before you even open your mouth to pray...

OR He can decide to answer at any time He chooses... (see Luke 18 for the reason why)

If you learn only one thing from me today it should be this:

"God answers when He wants to answer,
not when you want Him to answer"

But here's the problem.

It's not very easy to keep praying when the answers seem far away.
